Confirmed by Anthropic: phData Is a Preferred Services Partner — and the Directory Anthropic Never Linked Publishes Every Firm's Tier

The question

"Read the live Anthropic Partner Hub directory (claude.com/partners, JS-rendered) via a browser session to confirm phData's formal Claude Partner Network Services Track tier (Select/Preferred/Global Premier) vs its 'Preferred' self-label." This is open follow-up #1 from [[2026-08-30-data-native-si-anthropic-partner-tier]], where static WebFetch failed twice and the brief closed at "medium confidence" on a negative claim it flagged as directory-dependent.

What the browser session actually returned

Stated explicitly so no future run repeats this blindly:

Outcome #1 from the dispatch, unambiguously. The directory renders and shows phData with an explicit Anthropic-published tier.

What the web says

The directory is the whole finding this run. Full census of all 81 listed firms, read 2026-09-08:

Convergences and contradictions

Synthesis for RDCO

The answer is yes, and the founder should update a sentence he has been carefully hedging for three months. Anthropic's own Partner Network Directory lists phData at Preferred, with a structured tier field, on an Anthropic-owned domain, publicly readable without login. "phData is an Anthropic Preferred Services Partner" is now a verified fact rather than a self-description, and the vault's standing hedge from [[2026-08-30-data-native-si-anthropic-partner-tier]] is retired as of this run. That matters practically because the founder is a DSA and TAL inside a firm whose partner standing he can now cite externally without a disclaimer, in client conversations and in any RDCO competitive framing.

The census is worth more than the single lookup, though. Thirteen firms hold Global Premier and every one of them is a 100k-plus-headcount generalist: the Big Four, the Indian majors, the strategy houses, DXC and UST. Zero data-platform-native firms. Meanwhile the Preferred rung is where the specialists actually live, and phData's peer group there is legible and instructive: Caylent (AWS-native), Indicium AI (data-native), Nimble Gravity, Fractal, Quantium, plus EPAM and Slalom as the large engineering shops. The structural read from the prior brief holds and now has a full dataset behind it. Global Premier is a distribution-and-logo ladder that a firm of phData's shape cannot climb on any timeline, and it is not the relevant ladder. Preferred is the ceiling for a specialist, phData is already at it, and the competitive question is no longer "can phData tier" but "who else at Preferred is selling into the same accounts." Indicium AI is the name to watch there, since it is the closest structural analog to phData in the entire directory.

For the founder's cert escalator path, this sharpens the linkage question rather than changing it. phData is already Preferred, so his CCA-Foundations pass (2026-08-17) is not load-bearing for phData clearing a threshold it has cleared. It is load-bearing for the maintenance leg: "active certified" decays on a trailing-90-day Claude-usage test, demotions land at the December 31 annual check, and Preferred needs 100 active-certified individuals continuously. The open ask from June, confirming his exam registration is linked to phData's partner record, is therefore still live and still worth closing, but the framing shifts from "help phData get there" to "help phData not slip." That is a less urgent-sounding ask and an easier one for Andrew to answer.

Calibration: high confidence on phData at Preferred and on the full 81-firm census, both read directly from Anthropic's rendered directory this session. High confidence that DXC's Global Premier and EPAM's Preferred are Anthropic-published. Medium confidence that the directory is exhaustive — 81 firms is small against the 40,000 applications reported at network launch, so listing is plausibly opt-in and a firm's absence proves nothing. Low confidence on any explanation of the 8-vs-15 gap; that remains genuinely unresolved and should be asked, not inferred. No claim here rests on phData-internal figures, and none were added to the vault.

Why this is in the vault

It closes open follow-up #1 from [[2026-08-30-data-native-si-anthropic-partner-tier]] and reverses that brief's central negative claim, which means the standing instruction to write "phData describes itself as an Anthropic Preferred Services Partner" in RDCO artifacts is now retired in favor of the unhedged statement. It also reframes the founder's Andrew conversation: the cert linkage ask is about tier maintenance, not tier attainment, and the 8-vs-15 customer question is the one thing the public record still cannot answer.
