Why this is in the vault
Anthropic shipped Claude Code Projects — a mode where a single conversation decomposes a goal into parallel cloud threads, each on its own repo branch, that keep running after the laptop closes; directly load-bearing for how RDCO already dispatches sub-agents.
Mapping against Ray Data Co
This is the productized version of the workflow-agent pattern RDCO already runs by hand (per-run scratch dirs, station-based brigades, PRE-DECOMP/IMPLEMENTATION-NOTES discipline in feedback_implementation_notes_sub_agent_pattern): a coordinator model splits a goal, worker threads execute on isolated branches, and a shared-memory layer keeps them synced — the exact shape of feedback_workflow_agent_output_integrity's "one gate per chain must hit the primary source" concern, except now Anthropic is running it as infrastructure instead of RDCO hand-rolling it via Task/Workflow tools. Two operational notes worth flagging for the founder: (1) coordinator/worker model-tiering (smart model for the coordinator, cheap models for routine threads) maps to the "pair model with effort" delegation rule in feedback_delegation_model_effort_pairing; (2) local files and internal networks are explicitly NOT supported yet — cloud-only — which rules it out for anything touching the RDCO repos that live outside a pushable remote (e.g., ~/rdco-hq worktree quirks in project_hq_digest_push_worktree_trap) until that gap closes. Available in beta for Pro/Max, waitlisted — worth a founder ping to join the waitlist given how directly this overlaps the sub-agent fleet pattern already in production use.
Curation section
- OpenAI Astra for Law — GPT-6 Astra tuned for legal work, 230M-URL case-law/statute index updated daily, 73 plugins (26 partner + 47 community), API coming soon via Trusted Access. Signals vertical-native AI land-grabs on professional knowledge work (law now, medicine next per the issue's framing) — relevant background for any future RDCO vertical-agent play but no direct action.
- Browser Use + Jev (open-source browser agent) — skips screenshot-based navigation for structured-DOM element tables, cutting browser calls from 1,092 to 101 (a claimed 25% speed improvement) and finding flights in 7 seconds for $0.0039. Worth a look if RDCO ever needs cheap agentic browser automation outside Playwright.
- Signals: PrismML 27B open-source model (9x smaller, 98.2% accuracy retained); Jina AI open-source document parser (2.57 pages/sec on budget GPUs); Vidu real-time video model with live outfit/scene swaps; Empero quantized 35B reasoning model running like a 3B on llama.cpp; TypesafeAI's Jev speeding memory compaction by scoring and dropping irrelevant tool calls (directly adjacent to RDCO's
typesafe:typesafe-aiskill usage).
⚠️ Sponsorship
Three sponsor blocks in this issue, all NEW to the tracked rotating pool (not previously seen: OpenRouter, Teleport, Granola, Unblocked, Datadog, Vanta, Finest, Google Cloud, Tiger Data, Redis, Attio, Flint AI, QA.tech, Ory, Launch Darkly, Voices, Span, Wiz, WorkOS — correction, Tiger Data IS already in the pool, so only two are new):
- Masthead "In Partnership with": Tiger Data (already in pool) — webinar on enterprise AI-agent monitoring architecture, 9/30/26.
- NEW sponsor — Speechmatics: promoted "Linden" STT model for voice agents, 350ms latency, $0.30/hr, $100 free-credit pitch.
- NEW sponsor — Mercor: promoted "APEX-Agents" productivity leaderboard (built with Harvey, Ramp, Cognition), ranking frontier models on long-horizon professional-work tasks.
- A third in-line sponsor slot (Sentry, in the Signals list) promotes a Slack-agent/PR-review GitHub Action integration — Sentry is not in the tracked pool either, flagging as a third NEW sponsor this issue. Bias implication: none of the three sponsor pitches (Speechmatics STT, Mercor benchmark, Sentry tracing) materially shaped the editorial framing of the lead Claude Code story, which reads as independently reported.
