Why this is in the vault
Direct, credible field report on the Anthropic certification program (Every put 10 people through all four courses) — worth keeping as a cross-check against the founder's own Anthropic Claude Certified Architect experience.
The core argument
Every's head of consulting, Natalia Quintero, took the four Anthropic certification courses (Intro to Agent Skills, Building with Claude API, Intro to MCP, Claude Code in Action — 10-15 hours total) to certify her team as an Anthropic partner. Her verdict: the training's real value isn't new tactics, it's a shared vocabulary. Because model releases (Opus 4.5, GPT-5.5) have stabilized enough that workflows no longer get upended every few weeks, Anthropic could finally ship a static curriculum at all — a milestone in itself.
But the courses are generic by design: no playbooks for mapping workflows to AI, no role-aware branching (a CFO and an engineer get identical material), and material staleness already visible (the API course references a Sonnet model no longer available; the MCP course omits Anthropic's own MCP builder skill). Team reactions split sharply by role — the growth engineer and an engineer found real value (prompt-evaluation design, MCP internals); the social-media lead found it unnecessary given she already ships apps via vibe coding; the evals lead found the API course too developer-skewed for a program whose real audience is non-technical staff. Every's internal consensus: skip the training videos and go straight to Anthropic's public documentation, which the team rated meaningfully better than the certification content itself.
Mapping against Ray Data Co
The founder passed the Anthropic Claude Certified Architect – Foundations exam himself on 2026-08-17 (phData cert escalator, 3-month leg banked) — this piece is a useful post-hoc cross-check on that path from an organization (Every) that certified a whole team rather than one person. Two points worth carrying into the still-open Snowflake GenAI leg: (1) Every's team explicitly rated Anthropic's public docs above the paid course content — if the Snowflake course shows the same generic, role-blind pattern, the founder's diagnostic-first approach (per [[cert-progress]], take one practice exam cold, then study to the gaps) is the right hedge against sitting through material he already knows; (2) the staleness finding (stale model references, missing MCP builder mention) is a reminder that any RDCO-authored cert-prep material ([[anthropic-certification-study-guide]]) needs a freshness check against current Anthropic docs before it's reused, not just against the exam guide.
