“A Tacit Mental Model of Business Expertise” — @CedricChin
Why this is in the vault
Cedric’s argument for what a business mental model actually is — distinct from the framework-collecting trap. Foundational to the triad framework and to how RDCO models its own business.
The core argument
What a business mental model actually is — distinct from the framework-collecting trap. It’s a working model of how a specific business creates and captures value, updated continuously by evidence from operating it. Generic frameworks are starting templates; the value lives in the per-business specialisation that emerges from operation.
Mapping against Ray Data Co
Direct application: RDCO needs to maintain a working business mental model that evolves with monthly evidence (cash-flow, client wins/losses, agent-deployment learnings). This piece is the citation for how we update the model — not by adding new frameworks, but by integrating new pattern-matched evidence from real deployments.
