Frontier Round 7 — Part L (B-half synthesis)

2026-07-24

Round 7 Genealogy Research Synthesis — Half B

HEADLINES

  1. Richard Wilson (ahn 64) death confirmed via two independent sources: April 11, 1850, Savannah Township, Macon County NC, cause pneumonia — corroborated by both FAG memorial 83085789 and the 1850 NC Mortality Schedule; simultaneously, his own memorial explicitly states "It is unknown who Richard's parents are," formally confirming QUARANTINE status on the "John b.1745 & Mary b.1747" tradition.

  2. 1800 census search target for Richard Wilson corrected from Stokes to Burke/Buncombe County: He married Rachel Strain ~1794 in Iredell or Burke County NC and was already gone from Stokes; archive.org reel populationsc18000029unit covers the correct counties; Stokes County 1800 is a confirmed dead end for this ancestor.

  3. Rev. Joseph Hull (ahn 11302) parentage confirmed by primary parish register: Crewkerne, Somerset baptism record reads "Joseph, son of Thomas Hull," April 25, 1596 (the FAG date of April 24 is a one-day transcription error); Joanna (Peson) Hull as mother is PROBABLE via the same register's January 11, 1572/3 marriage entry naming "Johane Peson the daughter of Richard Pesinge."

  4. Alexander Kent (ahn 132) holds at PROBABLE as father of William Alexander Kent (ahn 66): b. ~June 25, 1755, d. April 7, 1841, Halifax/Cumberland County VA — independently corroborated by WikiTree (separate database from Geni) and two cross-direction Geni searches; confirmed-child anchor Mary Ann Wilson (ahn 348) appears in both; no competing Alexander Kent (1755-1841) in Virginia found anywhere.

  5. Susannah Morgan (ahn 207) parents hold at PROBABLE after R2 independent verification of 8 FAG memorials: DAR Ancestor #A132519 is the only corroboration outside the FAG cluster; five internal inconsistencies documented within the cluster (none fatal); "James Morgan signer of April 1768 NC Regulator Petition" is a high-value unverified lead that could push toward CONFIRMED.

OPEN LEADS (next round)

  1. NC Regulator Petition April 1768 — if James Morgan Sr. signed, this is the second independent non-FaG corroboration; would upgrade AHN 414 toward CONFIRMED
  2. Halifax County VA Deed Books / Will Books for Alexander Kent — probate or land transfer would confirm paternity of William at CONFIRMED
  3. 1800 Burke/Buncombe census for Richard Wilson — archive.org reel populationsc18000029unit is the correct reel; not yet accessed
  4. TNA C 5/405/103 full transcript — Jennings v. Goodspeed 1649; resolves Agnes vs. Alice wife-name conflict for Robert Goodspeed; may invalidate all compiled databases citing "Alice Harris"
  5. Crewkerne parish register for Thomas Hull the Younger's parents — Richard Hull appears in 1572/3 register as Alice's husband; broader register search may yield his burial or earlier marriage
